WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HEALTH COACH AND A registered dietician/NUTRITIONIST (RD)?

A Registered Dietitian is someone who has completed formal schooling in biology and biochemistry of the human body. RD’s must complete at least a bachelor’s degree, work in a supervisory program for approximately 1 year at a health care facility, and pass a national examination to get their license. Many RD's work in conventional medical settings like hospitals & rehab centers and help patients with acute health conditions. Because RD's are overseen by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, they follow a certain set of guidelines in terms of the recommendations they can make to patients. Their focus tends to be more focused on disease-management.

A health coach does not adopt a "one-size-fits-all" approach to wellness but instead believes in figuring out what foods work well in your body, what foods may be triggering symptoms, and what other aspects of your life (finances, relationships, work, spirituality, etc) may be contributing to an overall imbalance. Our role is not to diagnose or treat a medical condition, but to develop your food choices and lifestyle patterns in a positive, healthy way. Oftentimes, resetting this balance lends itself to an alleviation of many symptoms, including:

  • Fatigue
  • Female Disorders (PMS, Menopause, Infertility, PCOS)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Heart Health
  • Hormone Balance
  • Migraines and Headaches
  • MS (Multiple Sclerosis)
  • Osteoporosis
  • Sleep Issues
  • Thyroid conditions
  • Acne
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD, ADHD
  • Autoimmune Diseases
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Chronic Sinusitis
  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Diabetes and pre-diabetes
  • Digestive Disorders (IBD, IBS, GERD/Reflux)
  • Eczema/Psoriasis
  • Environmental and Food Allergies

How will i know if you are the right coach for me?

When we meet for our initial health history consultation, we will have a chance to get to know each other and you will get a feel for my coaching style. If there is no chemistry or if you don't feel we are a good fit, you do not have to move forward with a program. Please visit my "About Me" page to learn more about who I am and what my philosophies are.

How do I get started?

If you are interested in beginning the coaching process, please contact me to schedule an initial consultation. You can submit your information via this website or contact me directly via email: evolvewellwithstefanie@gmail.com

What can I expect from you as my coach?

When you sign on with me as your coach, I become truly invested in your success. I became a health coach because I am passionate about health and connecting with people in a way that makes both of us feel empowered and inspired. You can expect:

  • undivided attention during our sessions
  • simple and creative "homework" assignments to support your goals
  • my commitment to breaking through areas where you feel "stuck"
  • handouts and giveaways that reflect your personal journey
  • conversations that will promote self-awareness and growth
  • a safe and confidential space where you can feel free to express anything and everything -- I am NOT here to judge!

WHO IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?

My ideal client is excited (even if you're also nervous!) about taking this step towards greater health. I work with people who WANT to change and are committed to this experience. This means:

  • upholding a commitment to our scheduled meetings
  • participating whole-heartedly in our conversations
  • following through with the homework between sessions
  • being open to trying new things (ie. new foods, meditation exercises, journaling, etc)
  • being honest with me and with yourself
  • communicating with me if you feel confused, stressed, or stuck at any point in this process.

Above all, I want to work with clients who are ready for change.

Why is your program 6 months? Isn't that too long?

Research has shown that a 6-month program is best for creating LASTING changes. I don't want you to go through this program and find yourself feeling too "on your own" to sustain changes long-term. This is not a quick-fix and it is important that you don't enter into this expecting immediate results! True health comes in time, and this program is designed to help you sparkle month by month so you don't become overwhelmed.

That said, I also understand that sometimes people need a "jumpstart" by way of a 3-week detox program to get the wheels moving. I will be offering detox programs and other lifestyle workshops in the future that serve to get your feet wet, or as a complement to a 6-month program. Please stay tuned to my Blog page and subscribe to my newsletters (scroll to bottom of Home page) to stay informed of these programs.

I may be opening enrollment for an intensive 3-month program with weekly meetings (total of 12 sessions) if I find there is interest in this option. The program would be the same cost as a 6-month program (total of 12 sessions).

I am open to customizing a program for you if I feel it is appropriate for your needs. We can discuss this further during the Health History consultation.

Can I contact you in-between our scheduled coaching sessions?

Yes! You can always feel free to email me with questions or comments between meetings. I will respond to you within 24-48 hours unless otherwise noted.

I just completed your 6-month program and I want to keep going! Can I do it again?

I was hoping you'd say that! Of course. And you will enjoy a 10% discount.

I'M NOT READY TO COMMIT TO A PROGRAM. CAN I JUST DO A GROCERY STORE TOUR?

Yes! A la carte options are available on my Services page.

i love the sound of your program but I am not local. can we still work together?

Absolutely. We can meet via Skype on a regular schedule, just as we would in person.

IS MY INFORMATION CONFIDENTIAL?

Yes, absolutely, without question.

How do I easily make my payments for my coaching services?

If you did not pay in full, each month you'll receive an electronic invoice from my practice letting you know the amount due for that month. You have 3 options:

1. Online payment through Paypal.

2. Payment by check through the mail

3. Cash/check payment for the current month may be made in person at the FIRST meeting of each month.

FOR LIABILITY REASONS, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH OUR SESSIONS IF PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED BY THE FIRST MEETING OF EACH MONTH.

HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I AM HAPPY TO ANSWER!
